Bolivia elects center-right president, ending two decades of socialism

Bolivia elected pro-business center-right senator Rodrigo Paz as president on Sunday, ending 20 years of socialist rule. With nearly all votes counted, Paz won 54.6% against former interim president Jorge “Tuto” Quiroga’s 45.4%, according to the Supreme Electoral Tribunal. The country remains in deep economic crisis.
