Brazil’s former president Jair Bolsonaro led a protest in Brasilia on Wednesday, vowing to “continue the fight” as he faces trial on coup charges and demands amnesty for hundreds jailed over the January 2023 attack on government buildings. Thousands of supporters joined the rally, where Bolsonaro, recently released from hospital, framed the rioters as “patriots” and renewed calls to overturn convictions tied to the failed insurrection.
