Rock duo The White Stripes was just inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, a major moment for the garage rock-meets-punk band.
“Today, the White Stripes are proud to represent the sound of Detroit punk and garage rock, and all of those bands and artists,” Jack White said during a speech given at the ceremony, which took place Nov. 8 in Los Angeles at the Peacock Theater. Drummer Meg White did not attend the ceremony. Jack made note of this during his speech, saying, “She’s very sorry she couldn’t make it here tonight.” Following the induction ceremony, Olivia Rodrigo, Feist and Twenty One Pilots performed a medley of the band’s classics in the group’s honor.
The moment is a monumental one for the band, and everyone seems to be celebrating, including Amazon. Right now, the online retailer has a 39% off sale on White Stripes action figures that’s just $24.60. The two-pack depicts Jack and Meg in black and red, respectively, inspired by the album art for their 2005 project, Get Behind Me Satan. For fans of the band, this induction is a great excuse to stock up on the band’s most exciting merch.
