Celebrity Traitors contestant Nick Mohammed opened up about a behind the scenes restriction that had one fellow celebrity complain about human rights.

The Ted Lasso star has made it to the final alongside Alan Carr, Cat Burns, David Olusoga, and Joe Marler. The final episode will be broadcast tonight (Thursday November 6) on BBC One. A handful of UK cinemas will also be showing the event.

Ahead of the conclusion, he appeared on The Comedian’s Comedian Podcast, and revealed the lengths to which contestants are restricted while filming.

“All your devices are taken from you” he said. “I was allowed one phone conversation a day with the kids. You are isolated from the outside world.”

He continued: “We weren’t even allowed to know the time. So when we were in the castle, you’d be like ‘What’s the time?’ And they’d be like ‘It’s Traitors time’. Every single member of production had to just answer with that until someone kicked off and they said, ‘It’s a basic human right, you can just tell us the time, it doesn’t mean anything!’”

He concluded about the production: “They are so clever, but in the best possible way.”
The first series of Celebrity Traitors debuted on October 8, with over 12million people watching the first episode.

Claudia Winkleman returned to oversee a group of celebrities as they try to find the designation Traitors among the group of Faithfuls, with the Traitors themselves conspiring to eliminate the rest without being discovered. The contestant who remains wins a cash prize, which will go to a charity of their choice.

Famous faces from all areas of entertainment gathered at Ardross Castle in Scotland for the series – singers Paloma Faith and Charlotte Church; Olympian Tom Daley; and presenters Clare Balding and Sir Stephen Fry. Alan Carr emerged as an early fan favourite, with viewers enjoying his antics on the first episode.

Last week, Carr confessed Alan Carr he’s no longer friends with Paloma Faith after ‘murdering’ her on the show. Elsewhere, fellow finalist Cat Burns released the mellow new single ‘Please Don’t Hate Me’ while taking part in the series.
