Cesaria Evora an example of ‘resilience’ and ‘patience’: Paris exhibition honours barefoot diva

The curator of a new exhibition in Paris dedicated to the legendary barefoot diva, Cesaria Evora, spoke to FRANCE 24 about the singer’s profound influence on world music. Evora began her career as a teenager, performing for sailors in her native Cape Verde, but it wasn’t until the age of 50 that she was discovered in Paris.
