There’s still so much unknown about Anne Burrell‘s last moments, but these new details are really heartbreaking.
As Perezcious readers know, the Food Network chef died on Tuesday morning after the NYFD responded to a call about a cardiac arrest, per Page Six. Law enforcement sources previously told TMZ that the 55-year-old’s husband Stuart Claxton found her in the shower of their Brooklyn home. He called 911, who instructed him to perform CPR, but her body was already cold and it is unclear if he attempted. EMS ultimately arrived and could not revive her.

Well, now it sounds like there was more found in that bathroom. On Thursday, sources told the New York Post that the Worst Cooks in America host was discovered next to dozens of pills. Oof…
That said, the insiders stressed that it is too early in the investigation to speculate whether or not the pills played any role in the death. It’s certainly not a settling finding, though…
The night before her death, Anne performed in an improv show at The Second City New York, something she sounded so excited about on social media. She was said to be in “great spirits” at the event. Her husband last saw her alive at about 1 a.m. before later discovering her unresponsive in the shower hours later.
Such a heartbreaking loss…
