Israel’s army chief of staff said Friday that “combat will continue without rest” in the Gaza Strip if negotiations fail to quickly secure the release of hostages held in the Palestinian enclave. His warning came as aid agencies said that Gaza’s population is facing a catastrophic famine, sparked by Israeli restrictions on aid.
