COP30 faces early challenge as world’s biggest polluters won’t be attending

With COP30 opening on November 10, world leaders are already meeting for talks in Brazil to prepare the global climate summit. But those of the world’s three biggest polluters – China, India and the United States – will not be attending. They’ll be talking about the progress – or rather lack thereof – of the Paris climate agreements from 2015.
