With COP30 opening on November 10, world leaders are already meeting for talks in Brazil to prepare the global climate summit. But those of the world’s three biggest polluters – China, India and the United States – will not be attending. They’ll be talking about the progress – or rather lack thereof – of the Paris climate agreements from 2015. FRANCE 24’s Jan Onoszko tells us about what’s at stake and the main challenges facing those talks from Rio de Janeiro.
