Cross-border strikes with Israel risk ‘new war’, Lebanon prime minister says

Israeli artillery fire and airstrikes hit southern Lebanon on Saturday after Israel said it had intercepted rockets fired from across the border, threatening a truce between Israel and Lebanese armed group Hezbollah.  Lebanon’s prime minister warned his country was at risk of being drawn into a “new war”.
