Neeraj threw his career best throw of 90.23m on his third attempt, and was in the lead right up to the last round. However, a sensational throw of 91.06m by Germany’s Julian Weber stunned all and handed him a last-gasp victory. Kishore Jena, India’s other participant in the event, finished eighth.
