A flotilla bound for Gaza carrying aid and pro-Palestinian activists set sail Monday from Tunisia after repeated delays, aiming to break Israel’s blockade and deliver aid to the Palestinian territory. “If we successfully reach Gaza, many more flotillas will head over in the coming weeks,” said James Smith, a doctor currently aboard one of the boats. “I struggle to find the language to describe the horrors of the situation,” he said, before condemning what he called Israel’s “strategy of progressive ethnic cleansing”.
