Donald and Melania Trump did not receive a totally warm welcome at the Kennedy Center this week!
On Wednesday, the president and first lady attended the opening performance of Les Misérables at the center — his first visit since he controversially appointed himself chairman and replaced the previous board members with his conservative supporters. Sigh. They were also joined by Vice President J.D. Vance and his wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance. And the reactions from the audience to their appearance were mixed. While the Trumps received some cheers from the crowd, they also got a lot of boos! Take a listen (below):

In addition to the negative reaction, Donald and Melania did not get to see the original cast intended for the production of Les Mis at the Kennedy Center. CNN reported that at least 10 of the 12 actors opted not to perform when the couple attended in protest. would you wanna put on a show for him?
And clearly, Trump doesn’t understand the story! He never has since he used the protest anthem Do You Hear the People Sing?, which is a call for people to stand up against the ruling class, during his campaigns. If the politician did, he would realize this is now basically about him and what’s going on right now with the Los Angeles protests against ICE! As California Governor Gavin Newsom even said:
“Someone explain the plot to him.”
