Drake will be teaming up with Adin Ross to cover the funeral expenses for French streamer Jean Pormanove, who passed away on Sunday or Monday (Aug. 17-18). According to Reuters, the late streamer — born Raphaël Graven — died amid a 10-day streaming marathon at the age of 46.
“This is horrible and disgusting. Whoever was apart of this deserves to face severe consequences,” Adin Ross wrote to X on Tuesday (Aug. 19). “I just spoke with drake. Drake and I will be covering the funeral costs , this won’t bring his life back, it’s the least we can do. Prayers go out to Jean’s family.”
Billboard has reached out to Drake for comment.
Although Ross has his suspicions, Le Parisien reported that at this point, Nice’s prosecutors said there is “nothing suspicious” yet in Graven’s death, but according to Reuters, French authorities are investigating, and prosecutors have ordered an autopsy.
Drake and Adin Ross have joined forces for charitable endeavors in the past. It’s also not the first time the OVO rapper has publicly taken care of funeral costs for families who suffered terrible tragedies.
Back in 2022, Drizzy and The Game pledged $10,000 each to help cover the funeral expenses of Anna Angel’s boyfriend and her five young children, who were trapped inside and died during an Ohio house fire.
“What [The Game] is doing will never be forgotten. Honored to be able to help people along side my brother,” Drake allegedly wrote to social media at the time, per TMZ.
Drizzy is currently busy on the road as part of his European tour with PARTYNEXTDOOR, which will invade Stockholm, Sweden, later this week before heading to Denmark.
