Ecuador extradites notorious drug lord ‘Fito’ to US weeks after recapture

Adolfo Macias, alias “Fito”, was extradited to the US late Sunday weeks after the head of the Los Choneros gang was recaptured following his escape from an Ecuadoran prison. He is the first Ecuadoran extradition since President Daniel Noboa launched a “war” on criminal gangs.
