We don’t agree with Elon Musk or right-wingers on much. But one subject we’ve always been on pretty much the same page about, even if they don’t realize it? Jeffrey Epstein!
We’ve been on this story for nearly a decade now. The billionaire New York financier was accused of running a sex trafficking ring that included underage girls. Multiple victims said he trafficked them to other bigwigs and then used their participation to get leverage over them. While he (extremely suspiciously) died in prison before he could face trial, his cohort Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty of helping him. So it’s legal fact at this point.
So if Epstein was trafficking teens to the rich and powerful, why hasn’t a single other man gone to prison? Where’s the investigation? WTF is happening??
Many of Donald Trump‘s fans voiced the inexplicable belief he was going to release all the files and make the whole thing totally transparent. Those of us who remember just how tied he himself was to his old pal Jeffrey assumed something would be released months later that conveniently didn’t implicate anyone else and closed the book on the whole damn thing.

Well, the FBI and DOJ review dropped on Monday, and sure enough, they said the investigation “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.” In other words, hey, once again no names of big powerful guys to be found.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said back in February that she’d seen Epstein’s “client list” and that she’d release everything to the public. Later, she said it was taking so long because there were “tens of thousands” of videos to sort through. Trump’s counselor Alina Habba said there were “flight logs, information, names… that will come out.” Sounds like a lot of evidence, right??
Well, no, apparently not, according to Trump’s handpicked DOJ and FBI teams. They now say there is “no incriminating ‘client list’” and “no credible evidence… that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals.” And to prove it, they’re going to release NOTHING MORE TO THE PUBLIC.
Wait, what?!?
Yes, they say one of their “highest priorities is combatting child exploitation and bringing justice to victims” but that “perpetuating unfounded theories about Epstein serves neither of those ends.” We guess full transparency would just perpetuate unfounded theories? Like, say, about politicians and business leaders being involved? Why would releasing that info bolster those theories though? If all the data shows nothing, wouldn’t releasing it help put a stop to the conspiracy theories? It kinda sounds like whatever they have does implicate people. Right??
This whole thing is a s**t show. Many have already pointed out the discrepancies in the Trump administration’s public statements about the Epstein files. And that includes Elon! Props to him for calling it out despite being tied so closely to the administration!

Will this mark the beginning of a real fight between Elon and Trump? They almost got into it very recently. The culmination of that war of words came when Elon posted on X that yes, Trump was in the files:
“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
Most MAGAts have consistently supported Trump despite believing Epstein was a monster. We guess they think somehow all the other people mentioned — Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton, etc. — are guilty, but Trump had no idea. He was just pals with Epstein for years and mentioned he knew about his proclivity for young girls and promoted the guy who gave him his sweetheart deal… but was totally innocent.
Never mind the fact Trump was one of the few men publicly accused of raping a teenage girl with Epstein. That was probably Trump Derangement Syndrome, right? And remember when Trump blinked on releasing the Epstein files when he was asked during the campaign? We remember…

So suddenly there isn’t a ton of evidence, there is no client list, and no one has any idea to whom Epstein trafficked all these girls. Man, if only he knew how little the government had on him, Epstein probably wouldn’t have waited until the cameras malfunctioned outside his prison cell and strangled himself.
Elon seems to be the only person in Trumpworld willing to say what so many outside it are thinking: the explanation that makes the most sense is that Trump is in the Epstein files, and since he got elected he got to decide what story the public was told.
Does that mean Elon will actually work to find the truth? With his DOGE access, maybe? He’ll reveal everything he knows??
He did tweet that this was “the final straw.” But then again, we’ve heard that before. And he went right back to Trump, tail between his legs.
We just want the truth. If that’s what the right-wingers want, too, it’s time for us all to call for it. And we hope Elon does just that.
