Emilie Kiser Makes Urgent Plea To Parents On Devastating 6-Month Anniversary Since Son Trigg’s Death

Emilie Kiser has a few requests for all parents after the tragic death of her 3-year-old son.

As you know, Trigg Kiser died after drowning in the family’s backyard pool back in May. The influencer was not home at the time, but her husband, Brady Kiser, was. He lost sight of the toddler while caring for their newborn and found him unconscious in the water minutes later. Trigg was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Now, six months after the accident, Emilie is making an urgent plea to fellow parents so they don’t experience the same nightmare as she did. The social media personality took to Instagram on Tuesday to say on the anniversary of his death:

“The second it hit midnight this morning it’s like my body knew. What felt like any ordinary day six months ago turned into the worst moments of my entire life. The day my son Trigg drowned. I miss him with every fiber of my being. Every ounce of me yearns to hold him again, hug him again, tell him how special he is, and how much I love him. I miss his voice, his hugs, his smile, his laugh, the way he added a ‘k’ sound to any word ending with the letter ‘s’ and the way he lit up every room he walked into.”

We can’t even imagine how hard these last six months have been for Emilie. Just heartbreaking. She continued:

“To know Trigg is to love him and I feel broken every day that he’s not here. I will never stop talking about him, watching videos of him, staring at pictures of him. Constantly bringing him up in conversations is my favorite thing and I will never stop. ‘Trigg would have loved this,’ ‘Trigg would be laughing at this,’ and so much more.”

To “save families from the pain of losing a child to a preventable accident, such as drowning,” the content creator went on to offer four tips:

“1. Please watch your children, at all times. No amount of supervision is too much or ‘helicopter parenting’

2. Please get a pool fence, not an automatic cover, not a net, a fence. Better yet, add a fence around those other barriers. Add pool alarms, extra locks, and automatic closers to your doors.

3. Please sign your kids up for swim lessons — ISR lessons as soon as the age of 6 months old.

4. Please take every precaution possible around water with your children. Drowning is quick and preventable.”

Great advice. Emilie knows “statistically Trigg’s drowning won’t be the last, and more have happened since,” but her words could still help other parents avoid a similar tragedy. She concluded:

“I miss him daily. I love him forever, and I hope I can spread even an ounce of the joy he gifted to us and everyone he crossed paths with each day.”

We continue to send so much love to Emilie. It takes a lot of courage to be so vulnerable online while grieving. See the post (below):
