Emily Ann Roberts Signs With RECORDS/Sony Music Nashville: ‘It Feels Like I’m Just Gettin’ Started’

Singer-songwriter Emily Ann Roberts has signed a label deal with RECORDS/Sony Music Nashville. Roberts’s new song “Jack & Jill Daniel’s,” her first under her new label home, is set to release Sept. 5.

The Knoxville native’s career journey began when she became a runner-up on The Voice, as part of Blake Shelton‘s team. She released her debut album Can’t Hide Country in 2023, and was named as part of CMT’s Next Women of Country last year. Currently, she’s on tour opening for Cody Johnson‘s Leather Deluxe Tour and is set to join Megan Moroney‘s Am I Okay? Tour this fall.

“They say Nashville is a 10-year town, and that would add up since I got into the music business back in 2015. While this is a massive accomplishment, I know this is just the beginning,” Roberts said in a statement. “I’m excited to get to partner with RECORDS/Sony Music Nashville and I can’t wait to see all we accomplish together.”

Roberts is represented by Starstruck Entertainment, UTA and Jody Williams Songs.

On social media, Roberts celebrated the signing by posting a video from the day she signed with the label.

“Well I’m makin’ my trek into Nashville, which I do every day that I’m not out on the road, but today is different, because today I am driving into Nashville to sign a record deal,” she says with a huge smile. “I’m so excited… I looked back at my memories on my cell phone, because today is June 30… I went back to the day I did my blind auditions on The Voice and it was like June 26, 2015. So this week, 10 years ago, I was startin’ this journey, which really, it started years before that, of me sittin’ in my bedroom, cross-legged, learning how to pick a guitar. Even though it does feel like a long time comin’, it also feels like like I’m just gettin’ started.”
