Eric Dane didn’t just surprise us when he stepped out with a new girl this week — he reportedly “blindsided” his other fling!
The Grey’s Anatomy alum stepped out on the red carpet of the LA premiere of his new series Countdown on Wednesday with Janell Shirtcliff. While it seemed like she was the new girl on the block, sources told Entertainment Tonight they’ve been dating “on-and-off” for THREE years! But all of this is total news to Priya Jain, Eric’s much younger (other) fling who he’s been linked to most recently (they were last photographed together in May).

According to Page Six insiders on Thursday, Eric’s alleged girlfriend Priya was left “blindsided” by his red carpet debut with Janell — and for a good reason:
“They never broke up.”
What??
Despite reports that the director has been in the picture for several years, sources claimed this was the first time the 27-year-old actress has ever heard of her! Ouch. Plus, the confidant claimed the last time Priya saw Eric was last weekend! And yet she had no idea he was about to go public with another woman?? Crazy!
As for the timeline of McSteamy’s romance with Priya, the insider claimed they met last summer and became “exclusive” in November 2024, just before the Euphoria star was diagnosed with ALS. While the younger woman was “devastated by the diagnosis,” she stood by her man. And yet she may not have been the only one…
As we covered, ET‘s source said the same of Janell! Well, there’s just one important additional detail:
“Eric asked Janell to be there for him during this time, and she wanted to show up for him.”
Hmm. Was Priya’s support not enough? Did he want someone closer to his age to help him through this difficult time? If so, why not tell Priya?
It’s hard to know, but Page Six‘s insider insists his romance with Priya wasn’t some careless thing. She has spent almost every night at his house, where she keeps a ton of clothes. She’s even hung out with his daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, whom he shares with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, who he has called off his divorce from amid his health challenges (though they’re remaining friends).
Last year, Priya and Eric even got matching tattoos and the 52-year-old also gave her some body art with an at-home tattoo gun shortly after. They were serious! Or at least she thought…
