Ethiopian runner Bedatu Hirpa claimed a close victory at the women’s Paris Marathon on Sunday by overtaking her compatriot Dera Dida by just four seconds. Kenyan Bernard Biwott won the men’s event by a wide margin, dropping all of his rivals with 10 kilometres still to run.
