The buzzy horror film Him has arrived in UK cinemas and it is packed full of music – see the full list of songs below.
The film follows the trials of a young up-and-coming American football player Cameron Cade (Tyriq Withers), who is training at the isolated compound of Marlon Wayans’ aging, nearly retired quarterback.
Julia Fox and Tim Heidecker co-star in the movie, which has been directed by Justin Tipping, known for his work on shows such as The Chi and Dear White People. Horror master Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us) serves as producer.
Him was released in the US on September 19 and it hits UK cinemas on Friday (October 3). Check out the trailer here:
NME recently spoke to Withers about the playlist he made while preparing for the role, including tracks by Miley Cyrus, Drake, Lil Baby and Goo Goo Dolls.
Speaking about playing Cameron, he said: “What drew me to Cameron is that he’s carving his own path. The younger generation is more mentally and emotionally aware and wants to take a more holistic route to success. Whereas the older generation [dictates] that you must sacrifice everything and [make yourself] miserable to get there.”

Bobby Krlic, aka The Haxan Cloak, composed the score for the film, having already worked on similarly dark films such as Midsommar, Beau Is Afraid and Eddington.
In addition, the film includes original songs from Denzel Curry, Jean Dawson, Tierra Whack and Guapdad 4000, as well as vintage hip-hop tracks from Mobb Deep, Dan The Automator and Gucci Mane and a soul classic from Shuggie Otis. ‘Him (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)’ is available now via Loma Vista Recordings/Back Lot Music.
