Every song on the ‘I Love LA’ soundtrack 

I Love LA is the new comedy series causing a stir at HBO, but what songs are on the soundtrack? Find out below.

The show has been written by its lead star Rachel Sennott, known for her roles in Shiva BabyBodies Bodies Bodies and Bottoms, the last of which she also co-wrote.

She plays Maia, an ambitious young woman who aspires to be a talent manager. She reunites with her friendship group, including Odessa A’zion’s Tallulah and True Whitaker’s Alani, while Ayo Edebiri, Elijah Wood and Josh Hutcherson also make appearances.

The show premiered on HBO on November 2, with further episodes arriving every Sunday until the season finale on December 21. It is available to watch in the UK via Sky and NOW TV.

It has been well received, currently sitting on an 84 per cent critics rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with a consensus reading: “An irreverent and self-referential comedy speaking to Gen Z existentialism, I Love LA is equal parts funny and cringe thanks to creator Rachel Sennott’s absurdist sensibility.”

The show includes an original score by Kenneth Blume, the producer and musician formerly known as Kenny Beats, an acclaimed collaborator with the likes of Vince StaplesIDLESDenzel Curry and Geese. Blume recently retired the Kenny Beats moniker, choosing to go by his real name as he transitions into film and TV composition.

In addition, the show is packed with needle drops, including the 1983 Randy Newman song that it appears to take its name from.
