The new Matthew McConaughey survival thriller The Lost Bus is in cinemas now, but what songs are in the film? Find out below.
It is the latest film from director Paul Greengrass, known for The Bourne Supremacy, United 93 and Captain Phillips, and it tells the story of the deadly 2018 wildfire in Northern California.
Based upon the 2021 book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle To Survive An American Wildfire by Lizzie Johnson, it follows McConaughey’s bus driver Kevin McKay, who is tasked with carrying a group of children to safety amid the devastation of the rampant wildfires.
America Ferrera (Ugly Betty, Barbie) stars as the children’s schoolteacher, and the film received a limited theatrical release on Friday (September 19), before it ultimately arrives for streaming on Apple TV+ on October 3.
McConaughey is also set to reunite with True Detective writer Nic Pizzolatto for a new Netflix series, which will see him co-star with Yellowstone’s Cole Hauser. Little is known about the show, but it will be reportedly produced by Skydance Studios.
The actor will also be reprising his partnership with True Detective season one co-star Woody Harrelson in a new Apple TV+ comedy called Brothers.

The film includes the use of two existing songs – Chris Stapleton’s 2017 country hit ‘Broken Halos’, as well as Two Car Garage’s ‘Peace & Love’.
The film also includes an original score from the esteemed composer James Newton Howard, a nine-time Oscar nominee as well as a Grammy and Emmy winner. Among his best-known scores are those for Pretty Woman, The Fugitive, The Dark Knight, The Sixth Sense, The Hunger Games and Michael Clayton.
Howard began a working relationship with Greengrass on the director’s previous film, 2020’s News Of The World, a Western starring Tom Hanks as a Civil War veteran returning a young girl to her last remaining family.
