Everything you need to know about ‘C25’

C25

The C-Series returns! After a triumphant revival in 2023 and following on from last year’s star-studded collection, we’re back again with another mixtape showcasing some of the world’s most exciting new artists. Here’s everything you need to know about the ‘Bose x NME: C25’ release tomorrow (September 19)!

The artists

C23‘ starred King Princess, Flo Milli and Genesis Owusu, while ‘C24‘ featured Grammy winner Laufey, chart conquering sensation Teddy Swims, Aussie heroes Royel Otis and the brilliant Lola Young. The ‘Bose x NME: C25’ mixtape is just as stacked. Soulful powerhouse Alex Warren, rebellious dance punks CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso and playful electropopheads Parcels all feature alongside German duo Zimmer90, mould-breaking Korean group ALLDAY PROJECT, lord of the rave Cloonee, swaggering Japanese rapper LANA and the effortless cool of ZIN CHOI.

The mixtape

We’ll be honouring the C-Series legacy by sharing the music far and wide. Released on September 19 on all major digital streaming platforms, ‘C25’ will be ready to slot into your end-of-summer playlists. There’ll also be a limited number of physical editions across vinyl and cassette tape released in the near future.

The On Tape video series

After the success of its ‘C24’ debut, premium video series On Tape returns to support the release of ‘C25’. This innovative content franchise features an in-depth interview alongside one-take, 360-degree performances filmed in carefully selected locations with emotional significance to each artist. Parcels took to iconic gig venue Bethnal Green Working Mens Club, Alex Warren set up in his hometown of Nashville to perform at opulent concert hall The Grand Lodge Of Tennessee for his reworked orchestral version of hit single ‘Eternity’ – and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso brought funky bop ‘EL DÍA DEL AMIGO’ to Sportcenter Wittenau near Berlin (still to be released).

The vinyl and cassette tapes

As part of C25’s commitment to the physical media experience, a limited number of vinyl and cassette tape mixtapes will be available in the near future. “Tape sounds so beautiful. It’s just so warm and real. I think you feel it more. It draws you in, in a different way” Parcels’ Jules Crommelin told NME recently. “You also have to commit to listening to a full body of music, which I don’t think we get much of a chance to do these days,” added bandmate Louie Swain.
