In an address on Wednesday morning, France’s outgoing prime minister Sébastien Lecornu said he hoped to have a budget by the end of 2025, adding that dissolution of the country’s parliament was looking “more remote”. Lecornu, who resigned on Monday following broad rejection of his new cabinet, will later meet with socialists, greens and communists in a bid to form a coalition government.
