Gaza’s streets overwhelmed by waste causing a growing public heath crisis

The October Peace Plan allowed those who had survived displacement from cities in Gaza to return home. In the heavily bombarded areas of Khan Younis and Gaza City, however, they now face a new challenge: a growing public health crisis caused by the collapse of waste disposal infrastructure. As garbage accumulates, so too do communicable diseases. Simon Moritz reports.
