Giving up US NATO command in Europe would give Russia the chance ‘to make a lot of mischief’

The Trump administration is weighing relinquishing the U.S. role as NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe. The position, which oversees all NATO operations in Europe, has been filled by a four-star U.S. general since its creation in 1950.
