Greece hit by heatwave and wildfires

Greece remains on high wildfire alert amid an ongoing heatwave. A large fire south of Athens forced evacuations near the Temple of Poseidon, damaging homes and spreading smoke. Authorities deployed 130 firefighters, 12 planes, and 12 helicopters to combat the blaze, evacuating 40 people and ordering five areas to clear. FRANCE 24’s Alexia Kefalas has more from Athens.
