Habemus protestatio: Pink smoke over Rome denounces male-dominated Church

Members of a Catholic women’s group lit pink smoke flares on a hill behind the Vatican on Wednesday in protest against gender inequality in the Church, hours before cardinals gathered in the Sistine Chapel to choose the next pope.
