Hamas accepts some elements of Trump’s peace plan for Gaza, others require negotiation

Israel launched dozens of air strikes and artillery attacks on Gaza City overnight, Gaza’s civil defence agency said Saturday (October 4), despite US President Donald Trump’s call to halt bombardments following Hamas’s acceptance of some elements of his plan. Hamas said it was willing to release the hostages but that other aspects of the plan require further consultations among Palestinians.
