‘I’m waiting in the street’: Blocked by presidential convoy in NY, Macron phones Trump

French President Emmanuel Macron rang US President Donald Trump on Monday to ask him to intervene after his car was stopped by New York City police so that Trump’s motorcade could pass. The call didn’t help unblock the road but a French presidential official said he had a friendly call with both men exchanging updates on several international issues.
