Marian Izaguirre has sadly passed away after she went missing following a disturbing social media post.
The 23-year-old fashion influencer, who was extremely popular in Mexico, disappeared early this month. She was officially reported missing in Uruapan following a video she posted to her socials featuring her wearing clown makeup. In the video, she can be seen in various places across the city, lip syncing to songs with tears in her eyes. It was a very different video than her usual content — which was definitely cause for alarm.

The video itself, posted August 28, was captioned:
“All the promises of my love will go with you. Why are you leaving?”

Per Michoacán’s Alba Alert system, she was last seen in a red Kia Rio around 6 p.m. on September 1. It wasn’t until September 6 that police finally got a lead, which took them to a hotel in Morelia, where she was discovered by authorities. She’d reportedly been staying there for several days, and her vehicle was also found at the hotel. The Michoacán Prosecutor’s Office told local outlet El Financiero after she was found:
“She was treated by paramedics and taken to a hospital.”
On Friday, the outlet sadly gave an update confirming she died after she was said to be in critical condition. Just a week after she’d been found. And while they didn’t give a clear update on what exactly she died from, they said a severe health condition caused her to become brain-dead, and they couldn’t save her. So tragic. And so mysterious…
The investigation into her death remains ongoing, but in the meantime her family has given authorization to the hospital for her organs including her skin, skeletal muscle, corneas, and kidneys to be donated and save other lives.
A fellow TikTok star and friend of Marian, Marcelo Alcázar, took to socials to mourn her. He wrote:
“In the short time I knew you, you were a wonderful girl, with a smile that never went away. You’re an angel, and you always were.”
Our heart goes out to Marian’s family and loved ones. So sad. We hope they get answers as to what happened soon.
