If you’re thinking of giving Taylor Swift a present — even if it’s a plug for your product — think again!
Influencer Serena Kerrigan was on the Casual Chaos podcast with Gia Giudice on Monday, and she opened up about her encounter with the pop superstar — that left her “mortified”!
She recounted how she was already out to eat when she heard Taylor was coming:
“I was like, ‘I have to give her my card game.’”
Obvi she didn’t just carry a copy of the card game she invented, Let’s F**king Date, around with her. She got her boyfriend at home to send a copy to her in an Uber package and she waited:
“I left the restaurant. Millions of paparazzi, fans, were already waiting outside. So I was like, ‘OK, she’s here.’”
The Older, Hotter, Wiser actress waited outside until Taylor exited — along with boyfriend Travis Kelce and their double dates, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Clearly this was several months ago, before all that It Ends With Us legal controversy drove the BFFs apart.

When they passed by, Serena approached Tay, giving her the box:
“I literally was like, ‘Hi, I’m such a fan. And I created this card game. I think you would really love it.’ And she literally looked at it and she goes, ‘Oh, my God, thank you so much. But no, thank you. But thank you.’”
Yeah, no dice with the card game. So to speak. Tay very kindly rejected the gift — and Serena even understands why:
“Like, it was so sweet. I don’t think she could take it from me… There could have been like poison.”
She explained the box was around the size of a large cigarette pack. So yeah, not like a friendship bracelet or anything — something that could be anything. Clearly her security have taught her she can’t take boxes from stranger. But Serena was “mortified” at the time:
“I was like, ’Oh my God, I put her in this position where she had to say no.’ But then I got over it because it’s such an iconic story for the plot. Who cares that she said no? And by the way, I kept the game that she rejected. One day I’m going to meet her, and I’m going to be like, ‘Funny story,’ and we’re going to be besties. It’s all good.”
Right, of course. She’s definitely talked herself into this being a first step at a successful friendship!
“I was so scared. Even afterwards, I obviously felt about, like, ‘Oh my god, rejection.’ But I was like, ‘Wait, this was literally so sick.’ And like, we interacted. You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take. I’m so glad that I did it.”
Hey, and lots of outlets are now mentioning her card game, Let’s F**king Date. So who’s the sad failure now, right?
