Children’s media industry in Kenya is gradually evolving. More books and TV shows are now highlighting girls as heroes, problem-solvers, and adventurers, pushing back against traditional gender stereotypes. While male-led narratives have long dominated books and screens, a new generation of Kenyan authors, illustrators, and media creators are changing how young girls view themselves and their potential.
