The Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has begun a two-day visit to Oman, which is mediating ongoing nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington. He says he is looking to promote “peace and stability” – that coming just after the US President Donald Trump described the latest negotiations as “very, very good”. But tensions remain.
