Fresh strikes overnight killed at least 20 people in Gaza, a day after Israel resumed its operations on the enclave, bringing the death toll to over 400 people, including mostly children and women, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Meanwhile in Israel anger is growing towards the government. Many accuse Prime Minister Netanyahu of putting his own interests over the hostages, saying a return to war only further endangers their lives. And his recent decisions to try and take down the head of the Shin Bet and reinstage the leader of the far-right party Itamir Ben-Gvir as National Security Minister have only further enraged his critics.
