With 14 years and 15 seasons under its white apron, Bob’s Burgers is kicking off season 16 on Sunday night with its landmark 300th episode — and Jack Black is helping mark the occasion with an epic new music video, premiering exclusively on Billboard below.
The “Grease and Fear” music video opens with a chorus of hamburgers, singing a cascading harmony of la-la-la’s, before a power chord kicks in and a caped frontman is revealed among a band dressed in burger costumes. That frontman? The inimitable Jack Black, who, even in animated form, is instantly recognizable with his bushy gray-striped beard and jigging dance moves.
“There was once a man who dreamed a dream, a dream of burgers/ Beef, tomatoes, lettuce and some buns,” Black begins the dramatic song. “But sometimes dreaming burger dreams and dreams of burgers/ Can make a burger dream become undone/ Not talking well-done, not talking medium well-done/ We’re saying burger dreams can make you come undone.”
For the “Bob’s Buskers” music video, the Minecraft star is joined by John Kimbrough, Scott Seiver and John Spiker, all of whom have toured with and produced for Black’s band Tenacious D — so it makes sense that “Grease and Fear” has some very D-like rock-opera energy.

The song will air during the end credits of Sunday’s 300th episode of Bob’s Burgers, titled “Grand Pre-Pre-Pre-Opening,” which brings Bob and Linda Belcher back to the beginning to tell the origin story of those burger dreams Black is singing about. A description of the new episode reads: “Bob and Linda are on the verge of a big decision which brings up memories of when the restaurant first opened. Meanwhile, the kids embark on a new musical project.”
