It’s officially over for Jenelle Evans and David Eason.
According to a new report out on Friday in the US Sun, the MTV reality star and her ex are now, well, exes! Legally!
The divorce papers that the 33-year-old momma first filed with a North Carolina court back in February of 2024 have gone through, and Jenelle is officially divorced from David. Done. Over. Kaput!

That outlet reported this quote from a clerk in the court who confirmed as much:
“Their divorce has been granted and the judge will be signing off on that order later today.”
Furthermore, the word is that she’ll have her maiden name restored later today, too.
However, things aren’t totally over between Jenelle and David. As the clerk was equally quick to confirm, the Teen Mom 2 alum is still fighting with her ex over custody of their 8-year-old daughter Ensley. The clerk noted:
“They already have an existing case, so all of that will be heard still.”
The outlet reports Jenelle was not in court back in North Carolina to receive the news in person, but an attorney did appear on her behalf.
Of course, like we noted about Ensley, there are still things to be hammered out. The outlet claims Jenelle and her 37-year-old ex-husband are likely to go to mediation to fully figure out custody and all that.
Thus, the whole ordeal isn’t fully over for Jenelle. (And on some level, it won’t be until Ensley is all grown up.) Nevertheless, what a weight this must be off her shoulders. Reactions, Perezcious readers?
