JoJo Siwa is absolutely smitten with Chris Hughes!
Well, there’s no denying it anymore! The Celebrity Big Brother UK alums’ relationship has moved beyond platonic! JoJo just confirmed as much! And that she’s completely “head over heels” for the 32-year-old!
During an interview with The Guardian published on Monday, the Dance Moms alum opened up about her relationship with “sweet Christopher” and how it began developing on the reality TV show. To those claiming she and him hammed it up for cameras, she asserted that’s not the case:
“No, this is a very genuine connection — we’re not faking a thing.”

Throughout the course of the season, we saw JoJo and Chris becoming VERY good friends… And ultimately, she came to the revelation that she’s “not a lesbian” and that she rather identifies as queer, which is more broad. She told the outlet the term “encompasses how I am, and who I am.” She added:
“There’s a lot of different sexual identities. I think there’s nothing more beautiful than somebody discovering themselves.”
Before JoJo stepped into the Big Brother house, she was in a relationship with nonbinary DJ Kath Ebbs. But as we all know after the season wrapped, she and the 27-year-old broke things off — which stirred up a lot of controversy with fans as she quickly shifted into a relationship with Chris. Acknowledging her high-profile life, the former Nick star expressed:
“I do live this very, very big public life that has so many eyeballs on it, and it can get really hard to navigate. But I’m also living a human life. You can’t help who you love.”
LOVE?! OMG! And on that note, it sounds like she loves him a LOT. The 22-year-old told the outlet:
“People can see our chemistry, and they got to see it develop. I think everyone’s just curious, and I can’t blame them.”
As for how she labels the current status of their relationship, she dished:
“It’s not platonic any more, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way. I won’t ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now. Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I’ve never been in pain from smiling so much.”
Wow!
She confirmed she’s the happiest she’s been in years, and detailed how Chris is someone she can fully let her guard down around:
“You know when you’re alone, how you feel? You are your true, raw self. I’ve obviously felt like that before, but never around one single person.”
She noted when she was a kid, her public and private identities felt very one and the same. She added she learned to “look really happy, and fake it really well, [even when] there’s something else going on inside.” But now, she says:
“It’s the first time in my life that it feels like I’m switched off.”
Who wouldn’t be happy for her after hearing that?? That’s fantastic!
This all comes after Chris shared a very intimate selfie with JoJo from bed over the weekend, where they both appear to be sans clothing.
