Justin Bieber didn’t ignore the elephant in the room on his surprise new album!
The pop star’s new album SWAG dropped on Friday, and it includes some pointed lyrics about his rumored marriage struggles — which aren’t just rumors anymore!
For months now, the couple has been hitting back at speculation that they’re headed toward a divorce amid ongoing reports of drama behind the scenes, cryptic posts on both their parts, and other issues. While they may seemingly be in an okay place in their relationship right now, that hasn’t always been the case!

In Justin’s new song Walking Away, the 31-year-old gets very candid about difficulties in the romance. Honestly, he’s SO raw, fans called it an “insane” song on X (Twitter)!
In the tune, Justin bashes his partner for “throwing stones at [his] back” when he’s “defenseless.” He expresses:
“Girl, we better stop before we say some s**t / We’ve been testing our patience / I think we better off if we just take a break / And remember what grace is / Baby, I ain’t walking away / You were my diamond / Gave you a ring / I made you a promise. I told you, ‘I’d change’ / It’s just human nature / These growing pains / And baby, I ain’t walking away.”

He also addresses how hard it has been to be in the spotlight lately in Daisies. Things get serious as he sings about “throwin’ petals like, ‘Do you love me or not?’” JB goes on:
“Head is spinnin’, and it don’t know when to stop / You said ‘Forever,’ babe, did you mean it or not? […] And if it ain’t right, babe, you know I respect it / But if you need time, just take your time.”
Though he tries not to pick a fight, offering, “Honey, I get it, I get it, I get it.”
In Go Baby, the Canadian sweetly calls his partner “iconic” for her “iPhone case [with] lip gloss in it.” Hah! He then reassures the Rhode founder, urging her to lean on him in the dark times:
“When sunlight turns to shadow and it gets hard to face / Like water to a flower, babe, I know you need the rain / Nothing needs to work out and nothing needs to break / Don’t need to pretend that you’re okay.”
He even tells Hailey to “cry on [his] shoulder” and “stay by [his] side.” Listen (below):
So, it certainly doesn’t sound like all hope is lost! But they’ve definitely been going through some tough times. Oof.
