Is this it? We’ve heard lots of talk about what’s going on with Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. They’re on the rocks, they’re fighting, they’re in a transition period… Well, now we have a report they’re OVER!
An insider told Us Weekly on Wednesday:
“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It’s not contentious at the moment.”
Well, we should hope they’re getting along, seeing as they have a daughter to think of! But seriously, is this real?
We have to say, when Us says they have a source close to the couple, we’re inclined to believe it. So we’re buying what the insider is selling here. Plus, of course, we already had plenty of evidence they were splitsville. Like Orlando blatantly checking out other hotties on Instagram!

Thankfully this is not another Russell Brand moment for Katy. First off, it didn’t happen via text message. Second, she and the Lord of the Rings alum never actually got rings… so she doesn’t have to face a full-on divorce. Silver lining, we guess? The insider says:
“Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”
Yeah, we remember. But it doesn’t sound like she and Orlando were having a picnic lately either! The source basically confirms rumors we heard about big fights, saying the split is “a long time coming” and things “have been tense for months” for the pair.
They also corroborated the reports Katy has started “renting out” her Westcott Estate in Montecito. That’s a big deal — she and Orly were “planning on making the Westcott home their family home but plans have changed.” No growing old together, we guess…
How long ago did they pull the trigger? That’s hard to say. The insider says they “have been living apart since Katy has been on tour.” That started in Mexico City on April 23. So have they basically been broken up two months?? Hmm.
As for how she’s handling the breakup? The source says she’s “keeping busy” to keep her mind off it — “and is distracted” by the fact she’s trying to pull off a tour right now!
Of course, we’ve heard Orlando is keeping busy, too. But we’ll know in a couple days if reports he’s attending the Bezos wedding as an eligible bachelor are true.
We guess this really did feel inevitable after all the reports they were moving apart, right? Are YOU surprised to hear they’re OVER over??
