Uh oh… Kelly Clarkson’s team is none too pleased with her at the moment.
It’s been a whirlwind several months for the Since You Been Gone singer. She stepped away from her Kelly Clarkson Show on NBC for several episodes between March and April — and viewers never got a good explanation. More recently she shocked fans by canceling the opening night of her Studio Sessions show at the The Colosseum at Caesars Palace last Friday… just 90 minutes before she was set to hit stage!
In her announcement, she attributed the rug-pulling move to stress on her singing voice, explaining:
“I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.”
She’s set to take the stage next weekend, but will she? Who knows? Her crew don’t! As we’ve already heard, some staffers are pissed that they’ve been largely left out of the loop as she reportedly battles “insanely complicated” personal issues. And now, an employee is speaking out.

On Tuesday, a staffer on the American Idol winner’s talk show told DailyMail.com:
“’I love Kelly dearly but the whiplash is a lot with her right now. She’s all in on the talk show, then she’s not, then she is again. She’s performing in Vegas, now she’s not. It’s her voice. It’s personal issues. It’s enough to make you crazy.”
Yikes… But with whispers that Kelly is fighting personal demons, they likely have some sympathy for her touch-and-go behavior, right? Ummmm, not really. They love her, but what happened to the show must go on??
“She’s the sweetest woman in show business. And not to be mean, but she’s being a flake. I’m sorry, but that’s how it feels. She’s being flaky. And that’s very hard to be in business with.”
DAMN. Things sound BAD in the Kelly camp right about now!
The show insider makes it clear they have no idea if she’s going to keep doing the show or not:
“If she leaves, she leaves. We’ll be okay. We just need to know what’s next so we can plan.”
Oof! That lack of job security has to be a nightmare! And it’s even shakier for those working on the Vegas residency — because no one knows what really happened! And they don’t trust her version of events anymore:
“Honestly, I don’t know if it’s her voice or not. She has had voice issues before and obviously it’s a lot of work preparing for a residency… But this is not good. It feels like she has been phoning it in on the show because she wants to perform, but she then postpones her residency. It has people here really wondering.”
Oof, now we’re really wondering. We love Kelly, too — but if she’s torturing her poor staff, even on accident… It needs to stop.
