Lavrov and Rubio discuss Putin-Trump summit, Zelensky seeks invite

Russia’s top diplomat Sergei Lavrov and US counterpart Marco Rubio discussed preparations for an upcoming summit between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in a call on Monday, both sides said. This follows a reportedly tense meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, where Trump reneged on the possibility of sending the long-range missiles to Ukraine.
