Lebanon’s president on Monday ordered troops to retaliate for gunfire from Syria amid a flare up of cross-border tensions. Violence along the frontier has spiked between the Syrian military and armed Lebanese Shiite clans closely allied with the Syria’s ousted leader Bashar al-Assad.
