Hannah Fields is opening up about THAT viral moment with Pepe Garcia-Gonzalez. Spoilers ahead!
Love Island USA viewers were shocked during a recent episode when cameras caught the contestants not-so-discreetly having sex in a room full of other people!
While it may have been pretty clear to fans what was going down between Hannah and Pepe in those sheets, she apparently thought they were doing a pretty great job of being sneaky… Until she watched back the footage! During an interview with Us Weekly published on Saturday, the 23-year-old reflected on the viral moment:
“We had not slept in, like, 24 hours. It had been three hours after we went to bed. You kind of forget that you’re on camera. I literally always forgot that I was being recorded and it would dawn on me because I’d just see a camera and I’d be like, ‘Oh s**t I’m being recorded.’”
Whoopsies! She continued:
“I really didn’t think I remembered until the next day. I was like, ‘Just don’t talk about it. Nobody’s gonna know. Nobody’s gonna know what happened.’ I sit in the bathroom, like, ‘Do you think they caught that? … No.’ So when I watched the episode, I’m like, ‘Oh, I couldn’t have been less discreet.’”
HA! We mean, she’s not wrong. Fans clocked it RIGHT away!

The reality star also talked about a code word the islanders used to talk about their sexual encounters in a disguised way:
“We had a code name for intimacy. We would say, ‘How was your journey? What was this journey like?’ Huda [started it when she] said something like, ‘Oh, I had a journey. My journey went all the way.’”
Hannah and Pepe’s “journey” was recorded for the whole world to see! HA! But on that note, she’s just doing her best to try and not think about it — especially prior to getting voted out:
“Everyone has thought about it a little bit. I tried to take that out of my mind completely. You don’t know if people are voting out of spite or if people are voting because they actually like you.”
As for where she stands with Pepe, who remains in the villa, Hannah added:
“But leaving the villa, I was so devastated because I think me and Pepe had a really, really good connection. I’ve just been trying to stay really open-minded because I don’t know what’s gonna happen. He could build another connection. You can see with me, firsthand, that it really can change overnight. I would love to continue building my connection with Pepe [outside the villa], but I’m not gonna force anything.”
