French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday called for a “coordinated European response” in the aftermath of US President Donald Trump’s decision to impose “brutal and unfounded” tariffs on all US imports. Macron further suggested that European Union member states, who were hit with 20% tariffs, suspend their US investments as Trump’s trade war worsens fears of a global recession.
