Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will reportedly meet Russian President Vladimir Putin tomorrow, amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. Mr Araghchi has said that he will have ‘serious consultations’ with the Russian leader, hours after the United States entered the Iran-Israel conflict by striking three key Iranian nuclear sites last night.
“Russia is a friend of Iran, we always consult with each other,” Mr Araghchi said.
“I’m going to Moscow this afternoon” and will hold “serious consultations with the Russian president tomorrow” morning, Mr Araghchi said at a press conference in Istanbul on the sidelines of an OIC summit.
