It’s been five years now since three words “I can’t breathe” ignited a worldwide reckoning with racial justice. They were the final words of George Floyd, captured on camera as police officer Derek Chauvin held his knee on Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes, ultimately resulting in his death.
