She’s back! Meghan Markle is finally making her return to acting!
The Duchess of Sussex was spotted on set in Pasadena, California on Wednesday for the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film Close Personal Friends — starring some big hitters: Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding. Awesome!

The film was first announced in August. It’s said to be a comedy that will follow a couple who befriend a famous couple on a trip to Santa Barbara (where Meg lives), per The Hollywood Reporter. She’s set to play herself, an insider explained to People:
“Meghan was on the set today. She has a small part. She seemed very relaxed and happy. She introduced herself to everyone and was very sweet and down-to-earth.”
It’ll be her first time acting since giving it all up eight years ago — leaving her role on Suits — after announcing her engagement.
A studio source told The Sun:
“This is a massive moment for Meghan and signifies a return to doing what she truly loves. She has been swamped with offers but this one felt right.”
They added:
“It is Meghan’s way of gently putting her toe back in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set. Everyone involved is super-excited, and have been sworn to secrecy about her involvement.”
Well… they’re not being that secretive. LOLz!
And, of course, her hubby Prince Harry is also totally supportive of the career move:
“Prince Harry is, of course, really supportive and quite simply wants Meghan to do whatever brings her joy.”
Exciting!
It honestly makes perfect sense that Meghan would try her hand at acting again. Her Hollywood career is said to be “hopeless.” With her lifestyle brand and documentaries not always having the success she would’ve hoped for, testing out her acting chops again seems like a no-brainer.
