More than 100,000 flee as Thai, Cambodian border clashes escalate

More than 100,000 people have fled fierce fighting between Thailand and Cambodia, Bangkok said Friday, in the deadliest border clashes in a decade. The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting as international calls for a ceasefire grow. Jets, artillery, and tanks were deployed in Thursday’s violence.
