An Ohio mom is going to prison for a long, long time after committing an act of child abuse we can’t even wrap our heads around. Just truly evil.
On Monday, Angelina Williams faced sentencing after pleading guilty to one count of kidnapping and four counts of child endangerment. Those charges come from the horrific abuse of her children — an 8-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son. The incident that got her busted was on August 17, 2024. Two men helped Angelina handcuff her son because he failed to clean up after the dog. While he was restrained, the dog — a pit bull — mauled the poor boy, causing severe injuries.
Per Fox 8 reporting last year, Ashland County Prosecutor Chris Tunnel explained in a hearing:
“This defendant and the co-defendants handcuffed him, both hands, and then applied a second set of cuffs to his feet. They were in the process of using a rope to try and tie him to a chair when he came off the chair and then, while on the ground, was attacked by a pit bull.”
The child, bitten on the head and neck, was flown to the hospital. Angelina and her cohorts were arrested.

Angelina’s boyfriend Taylor Marvin-Brown pleaded guilty to two counts of complicity in commission of a felony (child endangerment) and one count each of complicity in commission of a felony (kidnapping) and obstructing justice.

Homeowner Robert Michalski Jr., whose dog did the mauling, was found guilty on two felony counts of complicity to commit endangering children and one count of tampering with evidence. He was acquitted on kidnapping and child endangerment charges.

What they did was horrible. But for Williams? This was her son. And she refused to take accountability. In a court hearing last August, she excused her actions any which way, saying:
“The dog is not even my dog. The cuffs are not even my cuffs. I didn’t even know the cuffs were illegal or anything was wrong with it. My uncle told me it was OK.”
Her tune changed at her sentencing hearing nearly a year later. She read a statement in which she said she’ll “never” forgive herself for what she’s done, which she knows will “haunt” her children forever.
But the prosecutor noted how Angelina had “Snapchatted pictures of the children tied up” at the time — clearly “kind of proud of it.” JFC. Ashland County Common Pleas Court Judge Dave Stimpert was similarly unmoved by the contrite act. Per Law&Crime, he read her the riot act:
“Damian was handcuffed and the pit bull used him as a chew toy and the adults made up a story to cover their butts. Except using him as a chew toy is putting it very lightly. That dog tried to rip out his throat. To see the pictures of the bruising around his eyes and face from the force, the pressure that that dog put on his throat — to see the wounds on his neck? I’m not sure there are words that adequately describe that.”

Blasting Williams as a mother, he continued:
“I don’t know any mother that would think handcuffing a child’s hands and feet is a good idea, period. Yet not only did it, you do it multiple times, you shared photos of it — essentially bragging about it.”
He sentenced her to a maximum of 28.5 years. So at the very least she won’t see those kids grow up. Her pals are still due for sentencing. We don’t like their chances either. Treating a child that way… Just unforgivable.
